CPA Pearland AlternativeQuestions, answered in sentences
The owner arrived with one question and did not want a tour of the whole year. Take the one you came with. The rest can wait.
Ask your own
Can two registers share one rate.
Only if they sit on blocks that owe the same combined total. A till in Brazoria County at 8.25 and a till in Fort Bend at 7.75 do not. Sharing a rate across that line means one of them has been wrong, possibly for a long time, and the deposits will not confess it on their own.
The fix starts with the setting, then with the open months. We do not smooth the history to make the chart calm. If the open months are many, that cleanup is its own scope and it is priced before it starts.
You do not have to know the local codes to ask the question. Say where the shops are. We will say which total belongs there, and we will say when we are not sure and need the address block checked against the Comptroller rather than against a memory.
Pearland High School, Glenda Dawson High School, and Shadow Creek High School all sit inside the city, and they do not all feed the same district story. Friday lights are local and specific, and the pride follows the school a person actually sits under. We watch from elsewhere. The wink is the same instinct on a tax line. Specific beats blended.
Who runs payday.
You do, through a provider you pick and keep. We help with the setup. Registrations, a wage that fits the role, and the choice of provider. After that we do not run payday, and we do not sit between you and the provider on a Friday.
A Saturday crew hired for a fair or a busy retail week is still your crew. Setup can include them. Running the payday cannot. If someone promised you a practice that would also cut the checks, that is a different offer, and we would rather say so on the first call.
Tips, if your shop has them, are a record question and a payroll question for the provider. They are not a reason to blend Saturday's cash into Monday's sales. The deposit still has to meet a ticket.
Who prepares the return.
One practice can both shut the months and prepare the return that follows them. You can finish reading before you decide. What does not wait is this rule. A month that has not been tied to the bank does not become a return.
Whatever the drawer collected in one month is reported on the twentieth of the next, and that rhythm holds after a fair weekend too. Franchise reporting for 2026 and for 2027 owes nothing until receipts cross two million six hundred fifty thousand dollars, then 0.375 percent if the work is retail or wholesale and 0.75 percent otherwise, and that report is due on 15 May using the percentage for the year on the form. Business personal property is listed by 15 April unless a written request under Tax Code 22.23 moves the list to 15 May.
The close and those dates share one calendar. Leave a date unwatched and a loud Saturday can become a notice in a month that felt quiet. Those dates remain printed beside the close. They do not become a stack of nags.
When a lender asks for a cover we cannot sign.
A signed cover is a signature we will not add. That is said on the first call, before the months are finished, not as a surprise at the end. The months can still be tied out with us so the firm that can sign starts from something clean. If you want that boundary in one place, the disclosures page holds it.
Statements that carry no report are a different object, and they come from the close. If the lender's letter is specific, put the request in your own words. We will name the part we can do and the part we cannot.
Three counties under one town do not move that boundary. The books get more careful. The signature still does not appear.
What do you need before the first close.
We need the bank, the registers, the last month anyone trusted, and the question that made you write. A spotless folder is not what gets you in the door. An honest one is.
If the last close was many months ago, say so. We will not pretend a forward answer can be given on a gap. The gap is the work, or it is a reason to wait, and we will know which after we look.
The phone is on every page. The form is enough if you would rather write. A phone call and a form note both land with the people who shut the month. You will be talking to the Steven Palmieri practice.
A free call creates no engagement. Nobody is hired until a signed letter spells out which tills in Pearland are in the job and what the fee is. Closing the tab after the questions, with the form still blank, is still a useful visit. Bring the county under each till if you know it, and if you do not, the first conversation can start without the codes memorized.
